According to a report by the NY Post, her mother discovered her unresponsive in her Manhattan apartment located in the Central Park South area. Emergency services, including police and EMS personnel, arrived on the scene and declared her deceased. Although the exact cause of death has not been established, sources suggest that it may be attributed to natural causes. It has been reported that Trachtenberg underwent a liver transplant last year, raising concerns that her body might have rejected the organ.

In a statement to the NY Post, Trachtenberg’s representative, Gary Mantoosh, expressed, “It is with great sadness to confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away. The family requests privacy for their loss.”
