Adarsh Gourav is recognized as one of the emerging talents of his generation. He gained international acclaim for his humble yet flawless performance in the 2021 film The White Tiger, which featured Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao in prominent roles. Nevertheless, his path to success has not been without challenges. Recently, the actor shared how his esteemed co-stars supported him during difficult times.

Currently enjoying the success of his latest film, Superboys of Malegaon, Adarsh discussed his struggles within the Bollywood industry in an interview with NDTV. He acknowledged that The White Tiger, adapted from Aravind Adiga’s 2008 novel, significantly boosted his acting career and opened doors for future opportunities. However, he noted that it took considerable time for quality projects to come his way, which tested his patience.

‘I will always owe to Rajkummar and Priyanka’

He expressed gratitude towards Priyanka and Rajkummar for their support during challenging moments. “Raj bhai is exceptionally kind and a remarkable actor. I prefer to keep personal matters private, but he has also been there for my family during tough times, and I will always be indebted to both Raj Bhai and Priyanka. They stood by me when times were tough," Adarsh remarked.

Adarsh's latest projects

Adarsh was recently featured in Superboys of Malegaon, a film that tells the story of amateur filmmakers Nasir Khan and others whose passion for cinema transforms the lives of residents in a small village in Maharashtra. He is set to appear next in Tu Yaa Main, which marks the debut of Shanaya Kapoor. Directed by Bejoy Nambiar and produced by Anand L Rai's Colour Yellow Productions, this thriller is scheduled for release on Valentine's Day next year.
