On December 2, Vikrant Massey, who has time and again impressed the audience with his craft, took the internet by storm after he shared his 'retirement from acting' post. His fans and friends from the industry were shocked by his sudden decision. But it seems like he isn't retiring from acting anytime soon. The actor, who was recently seen in The Sabarmati Report, has now clarified his post and said that he just needs a long break. 

Vikrant Massey clarifies his retirement post

While speaking to, Vikrant said that his health is acting up and he just wants to take a break for a while. He said, "I’m not retiring… Just burned out. Need a long break. Miss home and health are also acting up… People misread it (the social media post)." This clarification was much needed and his fans can now sigh in relief. Soon after she shared the post on Monday, his fans started questioning his decision and expressing disappointment. With films like 12th Fail, Sector 36, and The Sabarmati Report, Vikrant left the audience mighty impressed with his impeccable craft.

In his viral post, he wrote, "Hello, The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor. So, coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted."

Celebs like Dia Mirza, Sanjay Gupta, Raashii Khanna, Medha Shankr, and more were seen reacting after he announced his break from acting. Some netizens thought it was a PR stunt for his upcoming film, Zero Se Restart. 

Meanwhile, on December 2, after he shared the post on social media, the actor, who recently welcomed his first baby boy, was seen attending the special screening of The Sabarmati Report in Delhi. The screening was hosted for NDA MPs and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the show. The screening took place at Balyogi Auditorium in Parliament Complex Library.
