Hrithik Roshan's early exposure to cinema
Hrithik Roshan's journey in cinema began long before he became a well-known actor. During his childhood, he made uncredited appearances in several family films, particularly in his grandfather J. Om Prakash's productions, Aasha (1980) and Aap Ke Deewane (1980). His only speaking role during this early period was in Bhagwaan Dada (1986), where he portrayed Govinda, the adopted son of the main character. Despite these early experiences, his father, Rakesh Roshan, stressed the significance of focusing on his education prior to fully dedicating himself to an acting career.
Upon completing his education, Hrithik took on the role of an assistant to his father on several film projects, including Khudgarz (1987), King Uncle (1993), Karan Arjun (1995), and Koyla (1997). During this period, he undertook a variety of responsibilities on set, ranging from cleaning the floors to serving tea, all while closely observing the seasoned professionals in the industry. He frequently reenacted scenes from Koyla, recording himself to assess his performance and refine his skills.
Hrithik's commitment ultimately led to his breakthrough role in Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000), which was directed by his father. The film achieved tremendous success, garnering Hrithik widespread recognition and numerous awards.
