Allu Arjun shocked his fans by joining them for a screening of Pushpa 2 in a Hyderabad theater. Unfortunately, the day turned tragic when a 35-year-old woman lost her life and her nine-year-old son was seriously hurt in a stampede at the venue. The film's producers have since released a statement regarding the incident.

Mythri Movie Makers shared their condolences on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the unfortunate event that occurred during the screening of Pushpa 2. They stated, "We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that happened at last night’s screening. Our hearts go out to the family and the young child receiving medical care. We are dedicated to supporting them in any way we can during this tough time. With heartfelt sympathy, Mythri Movie Makers."

There was a buzz at the Pushpa 2 screening in Hyderabad.

A huge crowd of fans gathered outside the Sandhya theatre, eager to see Allu Arjun and catch a screening of Pushpa 2 The Rule with him. But when the superstar showed up, things got chaotic as fans rushed forward to catch a glimpse of him, leading to a stampede-like situation, according to a police official. This all went down at the Sandhya 70 mm theatre near RTC Cross Roads in Musheerabad around 10pm.

As the crowd got out of hand, the police had to step in and use lathi-charge to break things up. A family near the entrance got caught in the chaos, with Bhaskar and his daughter managing to escape with just minor injuries, while Revanthi and their young son were unfortunately trampled by the crowd, the police reported.

A woman and her son were quickly taken to the hospital, but sadly, she was pronounced dead upon arrival. The son is still in critical condition, and the creators of Pushpa 2 have pledged their support to the family during this tough time.

On a different note, Pushpa 2 The Rule has been a massive hit with audiences. It’s already shattered records with its advance ticket sales and is poised for the biggest opening of 2024. Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film features Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, along with Rashmika Mandanna, Srivalli, and Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh.
