The team of the upcoming film The GOAT- Greatest of All Time, recently paid a visit to the residence of late actor and politician Vijayakanth, and met his family, ahead of the film's release. Actor Vijay, director Venkat Prabhu and producer Archana Kalpathi visited Premlatha Vijayakanth and her sons.

Vijayakanth died late last year due to health-related issues, which he had been going through for some time. The actor-turned-politician enjoys a massive fan following. As per reports, an AI version of the late actor is expected to make an appearance in the upcoming Tamil film The GOAT starring Vijay. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on September 5.

Ahead of the release, actor Vijay, director Venkat Prabhu and producer Archana Kalpathy from The GOAT team paid a visit to the residence of late Vijayakanth and met with his family. Vijayakanth is survived by his wife Premlatha Vijayakanth and two sons. The team went to seek blessings from the family, who had given them the permission to use the AI version of the late actor in their upcoming film. However, at what point the appearance will be made has not yet been revealed by the makers.

The GOAT is written and directed by Venkat Prabhu in his maiden collaboration with actor Vijay. It is the latter’s 68thouting. The makers had recently released the trailer of the film, which earned positive reception.

The GOAT also stars Sneha, Laila, Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Mohan, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Yogi Babu, Vaibhav, and others. The film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and is produced by AGS Entertainment.

The film revolves around an anti-terrorist squad called SATS, which works in conjunction with the RAW agency. The GOAT is about how former members of SATS, known for their excellence, will come back to tackle a challenge. The film will hit theatres on September 5.
