On September 5, The Greatest Of All Time, an action thriller starring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role, released in theatres. The film had already attracted the attention of moviegoers due to its cast, trailer, and rumours that a number of celebrities would make surprise appearances. Fans are now expressing their excitement on social media seeing some unexpected cameos in the movie; spoilers ahead for those who have not seen the movie yet!

Netizens ecstatic to see Trisha and others in The GOAT

Much to the disappointment of those who could not see the movie in theatres on opening day, a lot of individuals have already posted video of the cameo appearances in it. In the meantime, it has increased many people's eagerness to see the movie on the big screen. 

Majority of them were unable to stay still as they saw their favourite on-screen duo, Vijay and Trisha, dance to the upbeat sounds of the song "Matta." Many people have commented that the song made them think of the couple dancing to "Appadi Podu" from the 2004 movie Ghilli. 

Reactions to Sivakarthikeyan's cameo appearance were conflicting; some people thought it could have been better. 

Social media was ablaze with rumours of Ajith Kumar and cricket player MS Dhoni making cameo appearances before of the film's theatrical debut. Fans, however, are upset that these celebrities' appearances in the movie were limited to references.

Despite receiving conflicting reviews, the film is predicted to smash Tamil cinema box office records this year and enjoy an impressive theatrical run worldwide. While many have applauded Vijay's acting and the movie's adrenaline thrill, others have criticised its lack of a strong narrative.

The GOAT, directed by Venkat Prabhu, stars Sneha, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Mohan, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Jayaram, Yogi Babu, Laila, Premgi Amaren, and Vaibhav in supporting parts.
