Kareena Kapoor is currently preparing for the release of her upcoming movie The Buckingham Murders. While the actress is busy promoting the film, in a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, she shared her thoughts on international opportunities. Kareena said, "I’ve achieved everything I set out to and I never had a burning ambition to break into Hollywood or act in English-language films."
The actress, who was last seen in the film Crew also expressed that she is satisfied with her career and life and also mentioned that she has accomplished everything she ever aimed for. She added, "My ambitions are about meaningful work and staying true to myself. I’m ambitious, but I’m also grounded in what I have and where I am".
The Jab We Met actress expressed that rather than just her appearance, she prefers to be recognised for her work. She also mentioned that she has never actively pursued that aspect of life and has been more comfortable in her current space.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, the actress is all set to star in Hansal Mehta's directorial 'The Buckingham Murders.' The film also marks her first step into production as she is serving one of the producers besides Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor. The film also features Ash Tandon, Keith Allen, Ranveer Brar, and others in the cast.
The narrative of the film revolves around Jasmeet Bhamra (Kareena), a detective who has to investigate the case of a missing child while she is going through a personal tragedy. The film is slated to release in theatres on September 13, 2024.
