The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and the Telugu Film Producers Council have expressed their heartfelt condolences on the passing of legendary actress and producer Krishnaveni. She passed away at the age of 102 at her residence in Filmnagar, Hyderabad due to age-related illness.
Born on December 24, 1923, in Pangidi, West Godavari district, Krishnaveni made her silver screen debut with Sati Anasuya. She later married Meka Rangaiah, the Raja of Mirzapuram, in 1940 and transitioned into film production.
Among her many contributions to Telugu cinema, she is best remembered for introducing Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao to the industry through the film Manadesam.
The Telugu film fraternity mourns her loss, recognizing her as a pioneering force who left an indelible mark on the industry. The Film Chamber and Producers Council acknowledged her invaluable contributions and expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of a legendary film personality.
