In response to the challenges currently facing the film sector, the Telangana government has made a significant decision. A cabinet sub-committee will be established to address these issues, as directed by CM Revanth Reddy. The film industry is also interested in forming its own committee. This cabinet sub-committee will examine various concerns related to the film industry. In the near future, it will compile a report outlining necessary actions for the industry's advancement, guidelines for additional screenings, and potential increases in ticket prices, which will then be presented to the government for further action. Following the Chief Minister's recommendation for the film industry to establish a committee, industry leaders are expected to share their insights with the sub-committee. CM Revanth Reddy emphasized the Congress government's dedication to the growth of the Telugu film industry. On Thursday, notable figures from the film industry, led by FDC Chairman Dil Raju, convened with CM Revanth at the Police Command Control Center in Banjara Hills. During this meeting, Revanth reiterated that the cabinet sub-committee would investigate various issues affecting the film industry and that a report detailing developmental steps would be prepared and submitted to the government. He also highlighted the importance of the industry being socially responsible in the context of Telangana's progress.


The Chief Minister proposed that initiatives should be taken in the areas of drug awareness and women's safety campaigns, as well as the promotion of temple tourism and eco-tourism. Revanth Reddy emphasized that his primary goal in this context is to advance the film industry. He assured that his administration would extend its support to address the industry's challenges. The Chief Minister convened a meeting with film industry representatives on Thursday. During this meeting, he urged the film personalities to embrace social responsibility in contributing to the development of Telangana. Approximately 50 individuals, led by FDC Chairman Dil Raju, attended the gathering at the Police Command Control Center in Banjara Hills, which also included Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, DGP Jithender, and others. This meeting gained significance following the stampede at Sandhya Theater and the ensuing events related to the arrest of Allu Arjun. At the outset of the meeting, the Chief Minister presented a video concerning the Sandhya Theater incident to the attendees. Subsequently, various film personalities expressed their perspectives to the Chief Minister, who articulated the government's position. He stated, "The government supports the industry. There will be no compromise on law and order. It is the responsibility of celebrities to manage their fans. The industry must act with social responsibility in the development of Telangana. Film personalities should lead efforts to raise awareness about drug control and women's safety. We should also promote temple tourism and eco-tourism. Furthermore, the industry should collaborate in investment opportunities. We will take a serious approach regarding bouncers moving forward," remarked Chief Minister Revanth. Celebrities highlighted the issues facing the film industry, sharing their concerns, misconceptions, and suggestions. The government remains committed to supporting the industry, with the primary aim of fostering its growth. Notably, the government has granted special permissions for eight films and provided police support for the film "Pushpa."

A decision has been made to establish a brand for the Telugu film industry, recognizing its significance alongside the IT and pharmaceutical sectors. The introduction of the Gaddar Award was motivated by the absence of awards in Telangana. To facilitate communication between the government and the industry, Dil Raju has been appointed as the Chairman of the Film Development Corporation (FDC). Additionally, a cabinet sub-committee has been formed to address the challenges faced by the film industry, and it is encouraged that the industry itself also establish a committee. Efforts are underway to attract both Hollywood and Bollywood to Hyderabad, with plans to host major conferences aimed at drawing in other film industries. The establishment of Young India Skills University is intended to enhance employment opportunities, while advanced technology centres will be set up to improve skills and create jobs. The initiatives undertaken for the industry have been historically supported by Congress governments, and this legacy will be upheld. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of expanding the Telugu industry beyond its regional confines. Subsequently, the Chief Minister communicated via 'X' that he assured film industry figures of the government's commitment to support the sector's growth and address its issues. Nagarjuna remarked that the film industry can only achieve global recognition with substantial government investment, expressing a vision for Hyderabad to become a global cinema hub with world-class studio facilities. Director Trivikram noted that the industry's migration to Hyderabad was facilitated by leaders like Marri Chenna Reddy and Akkineni, and he highlighted the potential for tourism in Telangana, urging the government to host an International Film Festival in Hyderabad. He acknowledged the positive support from previous Chief Ministers and recognized the current government's encouragement. Director Raghavendra Rao expressed his approval of Dil Raju's appointment as FDC chairman, reflecting on his long-standing observation of the industry.


Hyderabad is poised for significant advancement. Producer Shyam Prasad Reddy emphasized the importance of not overlooking minor details. The incident at Sandhya Theater has deeply affected Mamalni. Similar to the election outcomes, the film's release is anticipated on the first day. In light of the competitive landscape of film releases, promotion has become essential. Murali Mohan stated that extensive promotional efforts are underway as films are being launched globally. We have unwavering confidence in the government. Producer Daggubati Suresh Babu expressed the aspiration to establish the city as an international film destination. Following a meeting with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, FDC Chairman Dil Raju communicated with Vidya regarding the discussions held with the Chief Minister. He noted that the primary objective of this engagement is the advancement of the Telugu film industry. He mentioned that the Chief Minister provided guidance on various matters aimed at elevating Telugu cinema. He clarified that recent narratives suggesting a rift between the industry and the government are merely misconceptions. He intends to meet with the Chief Minister again in the near future. Steps will be taken to position Hyderabad as an international film industry hub. We will also collaborate with the government on issues related to drug enforcement.
