Teddi Mellencamp has announced that she is facing stage 4 cancer following the discovery of four additional tumors in her brain. In a social media post on Wednesday, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star expressed that the diagnosis is indeed “scary.” The 43-year-old was initially diagnosed with melanoma in 2022; however, her condition worsened as it spread to her brain and lungs, according to reports from People.

Mellencamp expressed her gratitude in a video posted on her Instagram Story, stating, “I woke up to an overwhelming number of kind messages. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you. Many of you have reached out to tell me how strong you think I am.” She then opened up about her feelings and experiences.

“There are days when I feel incredibly strong, and then there are days when I feel deeply sad and isolated,” the reality star confessed. She emphasized that these fluctuations are a “normal part of what anyone might experience, and that’s perfectly okay. Facing stage 4 cancer can indeed be daunting.”

Mellencamp went on to share her experience following her first immunotherapy session on April 1, describing how she felt “exhausted and depleted.” “I had hoped that I had overcome it,” she reflected. “However, just a few days later, I learned that I had four additional tumors. There are so many ups and downs,” she noted.

The television personality also posted images of herself undergoing treatment for her rapidly advancing illness. Despite the challenges she faces, Mellencamp remains optimistic, concentrating on her aspirations for the future, particularly for her children. “I’m focused on all the goals I have for myself and my kids moving forward,” she concluded.
