Pawan Kalyan about his guru Hussaini
In a recent interview with Thanthi TV, Pawan expressed his admiration for his mentor, Hussaini, and shared his motivations for pursuing martial arts. He stated, “I took up karate because I was fascinated by the idea of superpowers. I admired Shihan Hussaini; he once set himself on fire after dousing himself in petrol. I was intrigued by the concept of mind over matter. So, I approached him and asked how he accomplished that. He simply replied, Just do it.”
Pawan further explained that his desire to learn karate stemmed from feelings of frustration and a need to channel his ‘wild energy’ into something more ‘constructive. He noted that Hussaini treated his karate school with the seriousness of a traditional gurukul, saying, “Perhaps he wanted to challenge me, I’m not sure. He would assign me tasks like cleaning the premises and bathrooms and bringing him tea, and I complied with all of it.”
Hussaini’s family announced his passing on Facebook, stating, “I am deeply saddened to share that HU has departed from us. HU will be at the High Command, his residence in Besant Nagar until this evening.--Hussaini and family, Kamana/Mahima.” Earlier this month, Hussaini had disclosed his decision to donate his body to science.
