Taylor Swift is said to be putting $1.7 million into a big renovation of her Rhode Island mansion, aiming to turn it into her main family home with boyfriend Travis Kelce, as reported by the NY Post. The pop star is investing heavily in her $17 million Watch Hill estate, with plans to expand and enhance important parts of the impressive 11,000-square-foot property.

Growing up in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, the Cruel Summer artist has a collection of stunning properties across the U.S., including her estate in New York City and a mansion in Los Angeles. There were earlier rumors that she might settle in Nashville to be closer to Travis Kelce.

However, it seems that her Rhode Island mansion is set to become their main home. An insider shared with The Post, “This will be her primary residence, and where she and Kelce hope to start a family someday.”

As for renovations, Taylor Swift has plans for her Rhode Island home that involve a 400-square-foot expansion to create a new bedroom suite and lounge within the 11,000-square-foot space. She’s also updating the kitchen and adding another bedroom to the main house.

Building permits and zoning documents show that she filed for the project in late 2024, with construction slated to wrap up by December 2025. The permit was officially approved in January 2025, and inspections will be needed throughout the process. The last time she was seen there was in August 2024, enjoying some downtime with Travis Kelce and friends after finishing the European leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour.
