Taylor Swift has reportedly ended her communication with Blake Lively, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

“Taylor is not in contact with Blake,” an insider revealed. “She received an invitation to SNL50, but with Blake and Kim Kardashian present, it was the last place she wanted to be.”

Previously, the British publication indicated that Swift had chosen to take a “step back” from Lively, but recent sources suggest that their previously close friendship has further declined. The singer of "Cruel Summer" is said to have turned down an invitation to the 50th anniversary special of 'Saturday Night Live.'

“Taylor is evaluating which of her friends are genuinely supportive and who uses her name for their own benefit following the Blake situation,” a second source informed the Daily Mail. “She is currently working on a new album and is taken aback by the extent of the drama she has been involved in. She is determined not to allow external influences to negatively impact her career.”

The two have not been seen together in public for four months, with their last appearance occurring in October during a double date with their partners, Ryan Reynolds and Travis Kelce, in Manhattan.

How Blake-Swift drifting apart speculation started

Public speculation intensified earlier this month when Swift and Lively were not seen together at the Super Bowl. Swift attended the event accompanied by close friends Ice Spice, Ashley Avignone, Alana Haim, Danielle Haim, and Este Haim.

In a notable development last month, Justin Baldoni initiated a countersuit against Lively and her spouse, Ryan Reynolds, seeking $400 million in damages. Baldoni accused Lively of making unfounded claims of sexual harassment and asserted that she leveraged Swift’s influence to coerce him during a discussion with Reynolds concerning script modifications.

Baldoni contended that Swift’s presence at the meeting created a sense of obligation to adhere to Lively's guidance regarding the script. Reports indicate that Lively sent text messages alluding to the ‘Game of Thrones’ character Khaleesi, comparing Reynolds and Swift to her “dragons.”

An insider informed the Daily Mail that “for the time being, she is distancing herself from Blake because she does not wish to become further entangled in this situation than she already is – which is considerably more than she ever intended.”
