Taylor Swift is set to visit India. According to a recent report, the immensely popular pop artist may be making her first appearance in a country where she boasts millions of admirers. However, it appears that many of her fans may not have the opportunity to witness her performance, as it has been indicated that she will be entertaining guests at a private event, specifically the wedding of billionaire Gautam Adani's son, Jeet Adani.

Gautam Adani, recognized as the second wealthiest individual in India, is set to witness his son Jeet marry Diva Shah later this year. According to an article by News 18, discussions are currently taking place regarding a potential performance by Taylor Swift at the wedding. A source cited in the article mentioned, “Taylor Swift’s team is in negotiations with the Adani family to perform at one of the pre-wedding celebrations for Jeet Adani and Diva Shah. Although Taylor has yet to confirm her attendance, discussions are ongoing, and it appears that this grand wedding may feature her inaugural performance in India.”

This is not the first occasion on which Taylor has been approached for a prestigious private event. Last year, the artist notably declined a $9 million offer to perform in the UAE. Moroccan-American rapper Karim Kharbouch, known as French Montana, disclosed in a now-deleted post, “They had a show offer for me and Taylor — her $9 million, me $1 million,” he stated, adding, “Somewhere in Emirates.” The reasons behind Taylor's decision to decline remain unclear.

Should Taylor accept this opportunity, it would mark the 35-year-old's inaugural performance in India. In 2014, she conveyed her interest in visiting the country. She articulated her aspiration to participate in a Bollywood film. "Indian cinema is rich in music and dance, which captivates me. I believe that Indians possess a profound enthusiasm for song and dance in their films, which I truly admire. It serves as an excellent means of engaging with the audience."
