Tate McRae, a dedicated Swift fan, just shared which Taylor Swift song got her through a tough breakup. While chatting on influencer Jake Shane's YouTube show, the 21-year-old opened up about how much Taylor's music has meant to her during that time.

Tate McRae shares how listening to Taylor Swift helped her during a breakup

The Greedy hitmaker chatted about her new album, So Close to What, on Thursday's episode of Therapuss. McRae also shared her favorite Taylor Swift tracks, mentioning that ‘the 1’ from Swift's 2020 album Folklore really helped her through a tough breakup.

“I adore that song,” McRae said about ‘the 1,’ explaining, “When I was going through my breakup, I played it nonstop.” The Revolving Door singer confessed that the song made her “cry a lot.” She also shared which of Swift's albums she loves the most.

When Shane asked her which song she’d choose to convert a non-Swiftie into a fan, McRae replied, “1989 is just my jam.” The 25-year-old host agreed, saying it’s his “favorite album too,” and McRae added, “Wildest Dreams and Style are just perfect tracks.”

McRae emphasized that Style and Into You by Ariana Grande are “the two best pop songs.” This isn’t the first time the Sports Car singer has shown love for Swift. At the 2022 MTV European Music Awards, she got emotional talking about how Swift was in the audience during her performance.

When asked how it felt to know Swift was watching her, McRae said, “Taylor Swift is like the biggest star ever,” calling it “wild.” She expressed that being in Swift's presence was an “honor” and that “everything she [Swift] has said has helped me through so much.”
