She recounted, "In 2021, I experienced difficulties with walking. I was uncertain whether it was merely a temporary issue or if I had gained too much weight, which led me to consider visiting a chiropractor. I frequently pondered, 'What is wrong with this hip?' I was unable to overcome the discomfort. Believing that my weight gain was significant, I decided to join an MMA program, which exacerbated the situation. Consequently, I sought an evaluation of my back, suspecting a spinal issue, and underwent treatment for nearly three months. While my back improved, I still struggled to bear the weight on my leg. This resulted in a peculiar limp. Eventually, I required several MRIs as my knees began to give way due to the unusual movements. At that point, my body was significantly affected: my ankles, knees, and back were all compromised."

The actress reflected on a trip abroad during which she had to depend on a wheelchair. She recounted that each evening, she would return to her room in agony, often having to crawl due to the intense pain. Painkillers were a constant in her life.
Ultimately, Tannaz underwent hip replacement surgery. She recounted, “On the very first-day post-surgery, when I was assisted to stand, I noticed that one leg was longer than the other, and I was overwhelmed with panic. I let out a silent scream from the depths of my being. I could hardly fathom that I would have to walk this way for the rest of my life. It felt as though someone was playing a cruel trick on me. I was left feeling as though I no longer wanted to continue living.”
Tannaz made her film debut with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and subsequently appeared in several notable films, including Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Kuch Naa Kaho, and 36 China Town.
