All about Ranveer Allahbadia row

The controversy surrounding the show, which aired earlier this year, sparked intense debate across India due to its explicit and inappropriate content, which faced widespread criticism. On March 7, Ranveer appeared before the Crime Branch of the Guwahati Police Commissionerate as part of an ongoing investigation into the show, which resulted in significant legal and public backlash.

An FIR was lodged by the Guwahati Police on February 10, accusing several well-known influencers, including Ranveer, of promoting obscenity through their involvement in the contentious show. The FIR highlighted concerns regarding the indecent portrayal of women and other objectionable material, leading to charges under the Indian Penal Code, the Information Technology Act, and the Cinematograph Act.

Ranveer apologised earlier

Acknowledging his accountability, Ranveer previously admitted his error on the show, particularly regarding a remark that drew significant backlash. "My comment was not only inappropriate; it lacked humor altogether. Comedy is not my strength. I am simply here to express my apologies," he stated in an earlier apology video.

Ranveer is resuming his content creation following the Supreme Court's approval to restart his podcast, though he must comply with stringent guidelines to guarantee that upcoming content meets standards of decency and morality.
