The assault on actor Saif Ali Khan has reverberated throughout the film industry and political spheres in Maharashtra. In the early hours of Thursday, the actor was attacked by an unidentified assailant at his residence in Bandra. Fortunately, the rest of his family, including his wife Kareena Kapoor, remains unharmed. Lalita D'silva, the former nanny of the couple's elder son Taimur, voiced her apprehension regarding the incident, especially considering the impact it may have had on their two young children, Taimur and Jeh, during this distressing event.

Taimur's nanny speaks on the attack on Saif Ali Khan

In an interview with Pinkvilla, D'Silva expressed her distress, stating, "I am deeply saddened; it is unbearable for me to contemplate how Taimur and Jeh are feeling at this moment, particularly Jeh. They must be quite frightened." Lalita D'Silva served as Taimur's nanny from his birth in 2016 until 2023, being an integral part of Saif and Kareena's household for seven years.

Elaborating on the incident, D'Silva remarked, "I am extremely anxious about this entire situation and strongly believe that those responsible should face consequences. I have not yet had the opportunity to communicate with anyone from the family, but I sincerely hope and pray for their safety."

An intruder unlawfully entered the residence of Saif and his wife, Kareena Kapoor, on Thursday morning, reportedly confronting the actor's domestic staff. To defuse the situation, Saif intervened, which unfortunately led to a violent confrontation, resulting in the actor suffering multiple stab wounds. At that time, Kareena and their two sons, Taimur and Jeh, were present in the home.

Saif was promptly transported to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery conducted by a team of medical professionals. His representatives confirmed on Thursday afternoon that he was no longer in critical condition and had been transferred to the Intensive Care Unit. Later that evening, Kareena released a statement requesting privacy. "This has been an extraordinarily difficult day for our family, and we are still in the process of coming to terms with the events that have transpired. As we navigate this challenging period, I kindly and respectfully ask that the media and paparazzi cease their incessant speculation and coverage," the statement read.
