Inspector Chalu Pandey caught Popatlal in the last episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. This left the society members shocked. Now, Bhide is trying to salvage the situation, only to fail miserably. Pandey caught on that it is an act, and he has questions.

Bhide pretends to be surprised on seeing Popatlal. The reporter is angry that Chalu Pandey found out where he was hiding. Bhide points out how Popatlal had his hall lights on but went to hide in the cupboard instead. He speaks about how Inspector Chalu Pandey was getting worried about Popatlal. The expressions between Bhide, Pandey and Popatlal are something you definitely do not want to miss.

Inspector Chalu Pandey catches the act

Pandey understands that Bhide is pretending and catches him in the act. “Waah master ji waah, kya acting karte ho,” he says while clapping. He then took a dig at him as an actor on the show by stating that Bhide (played by Mandar Chandwakar) does not act so well that he comes on TV (ironically, TMKOC is one of the longest running TV shows).

What happened in episode 4121?

In episode 4121, Inspector Chalu Pandey continues his search for Popatlal, in the reporter’s house. Popatlal is hiding in the cupboard and the society members are aware of that. However, they want to save Popatlal and thus, they try to keep Chalu Pandey away from the cupboard in Popatlal’s house. After succeeding successfully, Chalu Pandey outsmarts them and finds Popatlal in the cupboard. This leaves Pandey, Bhide, Patil, Anjali, Babita, Bapuji, Komal, Madhavi and Abdul startled. The same happens when Pandey pretends he doesn’t want to check the cupboard and walks away from the society members, only to dash back and open the cupboard, which Popatlal was holding on to previously in order to not be found.

Why does Popatlal not want to be found?

Like many, Popatlal made a mistake. Owing to his situation, he got involved with someone he shouldn’t have. He wanted to correct the mistake, but it wouldn’t be possible if the cops got involved. Thus, he was in hiding till things got back to normal. However, Pandey is here and he has caught Popatlal red-handed. Along with that, he knows the society members are involved. It would be interesting to see what his next steps would be.
