Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah completed 16 years today, which was celebrated in the latest episode of the show. During the time, producer Asit Kumarr Modi joined the episode and spoke about the tough times after a few actors quit the show. This continued with the storyline, and Tapu Sena started playing football with the new ball that Tapu got for his friends from the Gokuldham society.

Asit Kumarr Modi celebrates 16 years of TMKOC

Asit Kumarr Modi is here to celebrate 16 years of TMKOC, and he interrupts Tapu-Champak chacha's game to invite them to Gokuldham society clubhouse along with all other members of the society. This includes Jethalal's brother-in-law too.

Asit recalls how TMKOC changed the scenario of Indian TV, by introducing comedy in the times of drama. The producer recalls tough times during the 16 years, hinting at all the actors who quit the show in the recent times.

He further talks about the love and hate the show has received, adding that he cannot forget those who quit the show recently.

A football match

Tapu sena goes for a football match. Goli promises nobody can score a goal with him, while Gogi challenges that he will break the ball, leaving Tapu Sena worried.

Sonu goes first and after challenging Goli, she ends up beating her own father Bhide with the football. Of course, Tapu faces the wrath for it. When Tapu states he wasn't the one to kick the ball, Bhide ends up abusing the one who beat him up. On learning Sonu was the one to kick the football, Bhide punishes her by asking her to come back home and never play with Tapu Sena again. Thus, Tapu Sena pleads to Bhide to give them the ball back. A lot is to be unfolded thanks to this one incident, which is similar to what happened when TMKOC actually began (it was cricket back then).
