Taapsee Pannu recently exchanged wedding vows with her beau, Mathias Boe. Last week, videos and photos from her wedding ceremony went viral on social media. Now, in an interview with Hindustan Times, the Dunki actress has confirmed that she is indeed married to Mathias. Taapsee said that she isn't sure if she wants to open up about her personal life to the kind of scrutiny that happens. She mentioned that her intention was never to keep her wedding a secret.

Taapsee Pannu revealed the reason she wanted to keep her wedding a private affair. "The intention was never to keep it a secret. I just didn’t want to make it a public affair, because then I’ll start getting worried about how it is perceived," she said.

The actress added that she has no plans to release anything about her wedding and doesn't feel that she is currently mentally prepared for it. Taapsee further added that she knew the people who were present at her wedding and they were the people who wanted to be there for her and not to judge anyone.

In the same interview, Taapsee's sister, Shagun Pannu, revealed that the actress left the wedding planning to her. "Taapsee wasn’t a bridezilla at all. She left everything to me in terms of the wedding planning," said Shagun. She added that Taapsee wasn't worried as the gathering was limited.

Taapsee Pannu and Mathias Boe's love story

Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu and Mathias Boe met in 2013 at the inauguration of the Indian Badminton League. They started off as friends and love soon blossomed between them. Over the years, Taapsee and Mathias have managed to keep their relationship away from the media glare. Even when they got married, there wasn't a lot of buzz around their wedding ceremony.

On the work front, Taapsee was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's film Dunki. She shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in the film, which was released on December 21, 2023. The film did well at the box office.
