In a bizarre incident, former MLA and Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead on October 12 by three assailants outside his son Zeeshan's office in Bandra. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital where doctors treated him but Baba Siddique succumbed to his injuries. The notable personality was 66 years old when he breathed his last. Apart from his professional career, he was one of the most loved persons among Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan fans as he once reunited the iconic duo after their infamous 5-year feud. 

Baba Siddique ended Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan's feud

In 2013, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were in a cold war. The once good friends had a huge fallout at Katrina Kaif's birthday and reportedly were not on talking terms. Then came Baba Siddique, who ended their feud and delighted the fandoms. 

It is believed that industry insiders had requested the late Siddique to mediate between Salman and Shah Rukh, and the political leader found a subtle way to do that. He made Shah Rukh sit next to Salman's father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, at his famous Iftaar party.

The video that has since gone viral shows SRK talking to Salim Khan for a while before Salman approaches the table. Shah Rukh gets up and the two stars nod at each other in acknowledgment before greeting each other with a hug. 

Baba Siddique then joins them and requests the photographers to click and Bollywood's biggest feud was ended by him. 

Who was Baba Siddique?

Baba Siddique was a notable politician who was with the Congress Party for 48 years till he moved to the Nationalist Congress Party earlier this year. He served as an MLA for three terms till 2013 and also was a minister in the Maharashtra government. 

Salman Khan cancels Bigg Boss 18 shoot to rush to hospital

As soon as the news of Baba Siddique came to light, celebrities like Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Zaheer Iqbal, and Raj Kundra visited Lilavati Hospital. As per reports, Salman was shooting for Bigg Boss 18 in Film City, Goregaon. After hearing the tragic news, he canceled the shoot and rushed to the hospital to meet the senior politician's family.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman Khan is busy hosting Bigg Boss 18. His next big project is Sikandar, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on Eid 2025. On the other hand, SRK will be seen in King co-starring his daughter Suhana Khan.
