Actress Lee Si Young has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband of eight years. On March 17, K-media news outlet YTN reported that the Sweet Home K-drama star and her partner, Mr Jo, a restaurateur, submitted documents for the divorce proceedings to the Seoul Family Court earlier this year.

Final arrangements are currently being made, as the primary terms of the divorce are thought to have been settled. The 42-year-old star of Zombieverse married Mr. Jo, known as “Little Baek Jong Won,” in 2017. The couple, who have a nine-year age gap, welcomed their son the year after their wedding.

ACE FACTORY, the agency representing the Korean actress, also confirmed the divorce on Monday KST, stating: "They are in the process of obtaining a divorce by mutual consent. As this pertains to the actress's private life, we kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot address further inquiries."

Lee's most recent projects feature seasons 2 and 3 of Netflix's Sweet Home, set to premiere in 2024. The highly regarded actress has received acclaim for her strong and athletic build, which she showcased in her demanding role. Portraying a special forces firefighter, Si Young has established herself as a prominent 'girl crush' within the K-drama community.

Making her debut in 2008, she quickly gained recognition for her roles in KBS2's iconic drama Boys Over Flowers and MBC's variety show We Got Married. In 2023, she became a focal point in the Netflix reality series Zombieverse, which received mixed reviews but offered a captivating experience for viewers.

Last year, the streaming platform announced that Lee Si Young would return for the eagerly awaited Season 2 of the zombie-themed action-comedy series, joining returning cast members Ro Hong Chul, DinDin, Dex, Tsuki, and Yiombi Patricia. The upcoming season will also introduce new faces, including Cho Saeho, Defconn, Taeyeon, Yook Sung Jae, Code Kunst, Kwon Eunbi, Kim Seon Tae, and Andre Rush.
