Actor Swara Bhasker, frequently in the spotlight due to her inter-faith marriage with Fahad Ahmad, has recently provided insight into her parenting philosophy. In a recent interview, Swara disclosed that she incorporates rituals from multiple religions following the birth of her daughter Raabiyaa, expressing that she "does not disbelieve in anything."

In a discussion on SCREEN’s The Suvir Saran Show, Swara expressed her conviction in the importance of embracing multiple cultures and religions. She shared that she is purposefully raising her daughter, Raabiyaa, in a setting that honours a variety of traditions.

Swara recounted, “As a child, I often refused to eat, prompting my father to narrate tales from the Ramayan and the Mahabharat. He would encourage me to eat, insisting that I finish my meal before revealing the story's conclusion. This approach beautifully and effortlessly introduces children to cultural heritage.”

Reflecting on her parenting philosophy and her commitment to exposing Raabiyaa to various faiths, Swara remarked, "I hold no disbelief in any tradition. With the arrival of our daughter, Raabiyaa, I frequently tell Fahad, ‘Let’s engage in the rituals of all religions and cultures to ensure her well-being.’ We have performed rituals from every background, and I even inquired, ‘Are there any Christian rituals as well?’ Whenever she coughs or feels unwell, I ask Fahad to recite a prayer.”

Swara entered into matrimony with Fahad Ahmad, a politician, in February 2023. The couple welcomed their daughter, Raabiyaa, in September of the same year. Fahad, who was previously affiliated with the Samajwadi Party, transitioned to the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction). He is set to contest the Maharashtra Assembly elections in 2024 from the Anushakti Nagar constituency in Mumbai south-central.

In her film career, Swara was last featured in the 2022 movies, Jahaan Chaar Yaar and Mimansa. She is anticipated to appear in Mrs Falani, although a release date for the film has yet to be announced.
