Star Suvarna is all set to launch a new reality show featuring popular television stars. Called Suvarna Celebrity League, the show will have 10 participants, split into teams of 5 each. Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 winner Karthik Mahesh makes his debut as host with Suvarna Celebrity League, which is expected to be on air for 8 weeks every weekend.

Set to start on Sunday, September 15 at 7 pm, Suvarna Celebrity League will be on Star Suvarna, and can be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar as well. The show will feature Karthik’s fellow Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 contestants Vinay Gowda, Namrata Gowda, Tanisha Kuppanda and Rakshak Bullet, apart from Chandu Gowda (Katheyondu Shuruvagide), Ninad Haritsa (Aase), Priyanka (Aase), Hitesh (Comedy Gangs fame), Abhijna Bhat (Gowrishankar) and Priyanka Shivanna.

Vinay Gowda heads one team, that also includes Tanisha Kuppanda, Rakshak Bullet, Abhijna Bhat and Priyanka. The other team is headed by Chandu Gowda and has Namrata Gowda, Hitesh, Ninad Haritsa and Priyanka Shivanna.

Describing his role on the show in the promo, Karthik said that there will be team that breaks the rules and one that follows it to the tee and he will be the one to set those rules. The showrunners promise that Suvarna Celebrity League will be the right mix of entertainment and high-octane hard-fought contests.

The makers have not hinted at the kind of battles the celebrities will indulge in, but if the promo is anything to go by, the participating TV stars will go hammer and tongs against each other. Interestingly, the show begins only a couple of weeks ahead of a new season of Bigg Boss Kannada. The popular Kannada reality show is expected to be back on September 29, with Kiccha Sudeep returning to host it for its 11th season.
