Sushmita Sen has been candid regarding her personal life with her followers on social media. During a recent Instagram Live session, she discussed the pursuit of the right partner and disclosed her intentions regarding marriage in the near future.

When questioned by a fan regarding her intentions for marriage, Sushmita expressed, "I do wish to marry. It is essential to find someone deserving of such a commitment. Marriage is not something that occurs casually. As is often said, it is a deeply romantic connection, a bond of the heart. The emotions must resonate within the heart, correct? Once that happens, I will consider marriage."

Sushmita Sen recently garnered attention due to her relationship with Lalit Modi, the founder and former chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He publicly confirmed their relationship on Instagram by sharing multiple photographs from their vacation and referring to Sushmita as his "better half." Additionally, he updated his Instagram biography to include "my love," followed by Sushmita's Instagram handle. However, speculation regarding their separation arose when Lalit removed her name from his bio and profile pictures. He subsequently validated the rumours by posting a video montage featuring his new partner.

Before her relationship with Lalit Modi, Sushmita was involved with actor Rohmann Shawl. After three years of dating, they ended their relationship in 2021. In her Instagram announcement regarding the breakup, she stated, "We began as friends, we remain friends!!!
