Vikram Chatterjee is all set with his new film, Surjo. The new film’s trailer came out. The character Surjo, played by the actor, burns himself and brightens everyone else’s life – like the sun. It was reflected in reality, too. Vikram Chatterjee, with his entire team of Surjo, went to spend time with orphaned kids. He was accompanied by the film’s director Shieladitya Moulik and actress Darshana Banik.
They spent time with the kids by drawing pictures and cutting cakes. Photos of those moments came out and went viral.
Vikram, Darshana, and Madhumita Sarcar play the lead in the film. Darshana’s character’s name is Diya and Madhumita will play Uma. Surjo, Uma, and Diya’s lives will come in contact with each other in the film. What will happen then? It will be known on July 19, the day Surjo gets released under the banner of Innovative Films.
Surjo is adapted from the Tamil film ‘Maara’, which was an adaptation of the Malayalam film ‘Charlie’. Madhavan wished team Surjo and wrote on his X-handle ‘Maara was very, very special. The story, characters, and depiction were absolutely beautiful. I could relate so much to the character. I would like to wish Pradeep Chakravorty, the producer of Maara, his actor Vikram Chatterjee, and the entire cast and crew of Surjo all the very best for this adaptation.’
In the trailer, Vikram’s character had no dialogue. It shows Madhumita, who plays Uma, coming to Vikram’s place owing to her work-related activities. But Surjo is not there, though his handworks are all over the place. Everybody there talks about him. Then Surjo is seen. Sometimes he is tilling the fields and some other times he is carrying the crops, all with a smiling face. Surjo is like a messiah and people revere him. Then Surjo is seen in a romantic mood with Darshana. He is also seen romancing with Madhumita. The trailer ends with Madhumita and Vikram.
