Rajinikanth is occupied filming for his forthcoming movie Jailer 2. The superstar astonished fans on Friday when he made a brief visit to a local temple in the Anaikatti hills close to Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore on his way to the set. He prayed and encountered a few fans at the location.

Rajinikanth stops by a temple for a quick visit

In the recent videos that have emerged on fan pages of the actor on X (formerly Twitter), Rajinikanth was observed exiting his car to head towards the temple. The location where he is presently filming necessitates him to travel between Anaikatti and Mangarai. He opted to stop by the Matheswaran Sivan temple for a brief darshan.

Clad in white, Rajinikanth was accompanied by a priest as he conducted his prayers. The priest also placed a teeka on the actor's forehead, as shown in the video recorded by excited fans at the location. The priest further inquired about the actor's well-being.

Rajinikanth also took pictures with a few fans who were astonished to witness their beloved star at the temple grounds. He welcomed them with hands clasped together.

His next project

Rajinikanth was most recently featured in Lal Salaam and Vettaiyan. He is set to appear in Lokesh Kanagraj’s Coolie in addition to Jailer 2.

Jailer 2 is an action-comedy movie that serves as a sequel to Nelson’s successful film Jailer from 2023. Rajinikanth reprises his role as ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian, with Ramya portraying his wife, Vijaya ‘Viji’ Pandian. Jailer delved into how Tiger is compelled to emerge from retirement when his family's security is jeopardized and his son disappears while probing a smuggling case. It remains unclear how Jailer 2 will progress the narrative.
