Actor Sunny Deol made a remarkable return to cinemas in 2023 with the release of Gadar 2, which shattered numerous box office records. Anticipation was exceptionally high for his subsequent film, Jaat. However, after its release last week, the film has yet to match the excitement generated by Gadar 2. In light of these box office challenges, Sunny expressed that he does not dwell on such concerns while creating a film. In an interview with Bollywood Life, he acknowledged feeling a degree of ‘ghabrahat (anxiety)’ when the topic is frequently discussed.
What Sunny said
When asked during the interview if he experiences any pressure regarding Jaat's box office results following the tremendous success of Gadar 2, Sunny responded, “Pressure? I have never really felt pressure in my life. But in today’s world, even if you try to avoid it, people will still impose pressure on you! There are so many discussions about this figure and that one! It can make a person anxious.”
‘Par jaab baat karte hein...'
He further elaborated, “I simply focus on my work in the film, hoping that audiences will enjoy it. How can I predict what the box office figures will be? However, when the topic arises, it does create some anxiety.”
Jaat has not demonstrated significant improvement at the box office following a lackluster opening, earning only ₹22 crore within its first two days. Directed by Gopichand Malineni in his Hindi film debut, Jaat features a cast that includes Regena Cassandrra, Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, Ramya Krishnan, and Jagapathi Babu.
