Actor Sunny Deol has expressed that producers in the Hindi film industry could benefit from observing their South Indian counterparts in creating cinema infused with passion. At the trailer launch event for his upcoming film, Jaat, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Sunny commended the producers involved in the project, as reported by the news agency PTI. He also mentioned his interest in establishing a residence in southern India.

Sunny conveyed a message to the producers in Mumbai, praising the creators of Jaat as "exceptional." He expressed, "I hope the producers in Bombay take notes from them. While you refer to it as Bollywood, it is essential to first acknowledge it as Hindi cinema and learn the art of filmmaking with passion from the filmmakers in the South. I truly enjoyed collaborating with everyone involved. I even suggested to them, 'Let’s create another film together.' Perhaps I might consider relocating there (to the South)."

Sunny of if Hindi cinema is trailing

When questioned about the shortcomings of Hindi cinema, the actor responded that he did not believe there were any. "In the past, producers were drawn to a story when directors presented it, leading them to commit to its production. However, with the arrival of corporate involvement, the industry became increasingly commercialized. As a result, interest in filmmaking waned, and many became casualties of this shift. Those who were truly passionate about filmmaking found themselves sidelined," he remarked.

About Sunny's next film Jaat

Sunny's Jaat is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, a Hyderabad-based company renowned for the blockbuster Pushpa franchise featuring Allu Arjun. The film is scheduled for release on April 10 and is directed by Gopichand Malineni.

The producers describe Jaat as an exhilarating drama filled with grand action scenes. It will be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The cast includes Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, and Regina Cassandra.
