Govinda's spouse, Sunita Ahuja, is recognized for her candid demeanour. In a discussion with Hindi Rush, she addressed the speculated extramarital relationships of her husband, as well as the recent contentious remarks made by his former co-stars, Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty.

Sunita on Raveena

Sunita humorously recounted, "Raveena often remarks, 'Chi Chi, had I met you sooner, I would have married you.' I responded, 'Take him, and you will see for yourself.'"

Notably, Raveena and Govinda collaborated in more than a dozen films during the 1990s and 2000s, including titles such as Dulhe Raja (1998), Aunty No 1 (1998), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998), and Sandwich (2006). Recently, Raveena also paid a visit to Govinda in the hospital following an incident where he accidentally shot himself in the foot.

Sunita on Shilpa

Shilpa Shetty, another co-star of Govinda, paid him a visit in the hospital. During his recent appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix India, Govinda shared that Shilpa humorously remarked that if Sunita was not at home, then who was responsible for shooting him in the foot?

In response, Sunita commented during the interview, “I told Shilpa, ‘If I had shot him, I would have aimed for the chest, not the leg. If you are going to do something, do it thoroughly, or do not do it at all.’”

Sunita also discussed her appearances on Kapil Sharma's comedy show, where she playfully suggested that her husband could have affairs. However, she made it clear that her comments were made in jest. Sunita expressed that while she was not particularly worried about Govinda having an affair with a co-star during his younger years due to his busy schedule, she is more concerned now that he has reached the age of 60.

Govinda is set to appear next in Baahe Haath Ka Khel, Pinky Darling, and Len Den: It's All About Business.
