In February, news broke that Govinda and Sunita Ahuja were getting a divorce after being married for 38 years. Govinda's attorney, Lalit Bindal, verified that Sunita did indeed file for divorce, but mentioned that the couple has reconciled. Recently, Sunita addressed the divorce speculation in an interview with ABP.

Responding to the criticism about their relationship, Sunita remarked, “Whether it’s good or bad, I know it’s good. I think people are like dogs — they just bark.”

She emphasized her love for her husband and their two kids, regardless of the gossip. “Don’t believe anything until you hear it from me or Govinda,” she said.

In a previous interview with India Today, Govinda’s lawyer confirmed that Sunita had indeed filed for divorce six months ago, but the couple managed to work things out. He mentioned, “We even traveled to Nepal for New Year and did puja together at Pashupatinath Mandir. Everything is good between them now. Couples go through ups and downs, but they’re strong and will always stick together.”

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja got married in 1987, before Govinda became a Bollywood sensation. They kept their wedding under wraps and only revealed it to the public after the birth of their daughter, Tina Ahuja, the following year. The couple also welcomed a son, Yashvardhan, in 1997.

Now, Govinda's son is gearing up for his Bollywood debut. He'll star in a romantic drama directed by the acclaimed National Award-winning filmmaker Sai Rajesh, who is known for his work in Telugu films like Colour Photo, Hrudaya Kaleyam, and Baby. The film, which hasn't been named yet, is being produced by Madhu Mantena, Allu Aravind, and SKN Films, and is expected to release in theaters later this year.
