Actor Suniel Shetty is filled with joy following the arrival of his first grandchild. His daughter, Athiya Shetty, and her husband, cricketer KL Rahul, welcomed their baby in March of this year, marking the beginning of a busy and happy period for the family. Suniel recently discussed how the birth of his granddaughter has transformed his life and shifted his priorities.
In a recent interview with The Times of India, Suniel expressed that he and his wife, Mana Shetty, are eagerly embracing this new chapter in their lives. He described it as the most wonderful experience, stating, “Mul se sut pyaara (interest is far more loved than the capital).”
“Evaarah is Athiya 2.0 for me”
Suniel, The individual last seen in Naadaaniya discussed his efforts to balance work while dedicating more time to his granddaughter, Evaarah. He expressed his desire to fully engage in experiences with her, something he felt he missed with his own children, Athiya and Ahan, due to his demanding work commitments in the past.
"My life has never been chaotic; it has always been this way. I work and return home, but now I do so with much greater enthusiasm. I eagerly anticipate coming home to spend time with Mana and the baby. The greatest joy in my life at this moment is this child. I want to share every moment with my granddaughter that I may have overlooked with Athiya and my son Ahan because I was perpetually occupied with work. I was always on call. While I strive to manage my time effectively, I recognize the need to do more now. For me, Evaarah represents a new chapter, akin to Athiya 2.0," the actor remarked.
Suniel Shetty on Hera Phera 3
Suniel The actor is presently engaged in filming the third installment of the iconic movie Hera Pheri. He will be reuniting with the original cast, including Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, after a 25-year hiatus, with Priyadarshan at the helm of direction. "The remarkable aspect is that it never felt like 25 years have passed. We may look different and have new appearances, but fundamentally, we remain the same. We will greatly miss Om Puri, who was a cornerstone of Hera Pheri 1," the actor remarked. Hera Pheri 3 is expected to be released in 2026.
