Actor Hrithik Roshan’s sister Sunaina Roshan has been open about her previous fight with alcoholism. Now, she has disclosed that she shouted at her younger brother when he denied her request to come home without finishing the rehab program.

In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, Sunaina reflected on the tough period in her life when she was receiving treatment for alcohol addiction. She even mentioned that Hrithik emphasized the significance of completing the rehab program.

She stated, “There was a time when only family members were allowed to contact us, and that was when I truly argued with my brother over the phone. After many years, I yelled and screamed at him that I wanted to return home. He responded, ‘You are not returning home. You must finish this course, and only then can you come back home. ’ It was extremely challenging. . . Let her stay there, let her experience these hardships, because only then will she emerge from it. ”

During the discussion, Sunaina referred to Hrithik as her “biggest cheerleader” despite being the younger sibling. She expressed, “Hrithik is my biggest cheerleader. He is always joyful and he is one individual whose validation I seek. Because even though he is younger than me, he is still my little brother and I admire him in so many different ways. The way he trains, the way he is so disciplined, consistent, and hardworking. He has a knee issue but he will go and dance and complete it, regardless of the pain he experiences. He has also been very inspiring for me. ”

Sunaina’s battle with alcoholism

Previously, in an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Sunaina Roshan discussed her battle with alcohol, referring to it as the worst time of her life. She shared that her credit cards were confiscated and reminisced about her time in rehab, where she was interrogated by 5-6 counselors. She mentioned, “It was challenging. Alcoholism is when you lack control over your drinking. I was experiencing a very tough time. I was extremely emotionally vulnerable, and to numb my feelings, I began drinking. I believe it was the worst phase of my life. I had fallen off beds and hurt myself. It’s a very vicious cycle to be stuck in. For several months, I was not provided any money, my credit cards were taken away, and it was a very uncomfortable situation for me to endure. ”

Sunaina started her career as a producer with the film Krazzy 4 and subsequently produced her brother Hrithik's film Kites, which did not do well at the box office. In the meantime, Hrithik is set to appear next in Ayan Mukerji's directorial War 2. The movie will also include Jr NTR as the villain. It marks the sixth entry in the YRF Spy Universe, and the release date is still to be determined.
