Gandhi Tatha Chettu, starring Sukumar Bandreddi’s daughter Sukriti Veni Bandreddi in the principal role, is set to premiere in theatres on January 24th. The film is directed by Padmavati Malladi and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and Gopi Talkies. The presentation of the movie is handled by Tabitha Sukumar, with joint production efforts from Naveen Yerneni, Yalamanchili Ravishankar, and Shesha Sindhu Rao.

Today, the film's team engaged with the media in Hyderabad. During the Rachabanda event, director Sukumar shared insights about his daughter’s passion for singing, noting that she began her singing journey in the ninth grade. Initially skeptical about her acting capabilities due to her playful demeanour at home, he had reservations about allowing her to participate in this film. However, when the opportunity for Gandhi Tatha Chettu arose, he was persuaded by Padmavati akka to let her audition. Upon viewing the first clip of Sukriti's performance, he was pleasantly astonished. Sukumar emphasized his high expectations for the acting skills of the artists in his films, recalling that the casting process for Rangasthalam and Pushpa took 8-9 months. He expressed that Sukriti exceeded his expectations, stating that he takes pride in her outstanding performance. Producer Sindhu Rao worked diligently to ensure the film's completion, while director Padmavati akka crafted a script that captivated him from the outset. He has always maintained that effective narrators are capable of producing successful films. He recounted a past experience when he narrated the Arya script to Chiranjeevi garu, where Allu Aravind garu questioned his ability to direct as an inexperienced individual. Chiranjeevi garu reassured him, stating that his effective narration would lead to successful direction.

Sukumar expressed his unwavering belief in Padmavati akka's potential for success, stating, "Without a doubt, she will achieve great things. I am grateful to her for casting my daughter, and I will always be indebted to her. Lavanya, who portrayed my daughter's mother in the film, delivered an outstanding performance. On a lighter note, it was amusing to see my daughter refer to another character as her parent in the movie (laughs). My primary message is entertainment. In my earlier days of writing poetry, I was a sensitive individual. When I first entered the film industry, I was told that the commercial sector was not suited for me. I consulted my mentor, who explained that any venture involving investment is a business. He motivated me to focus on entertaining others, which became my mission—to bring joy to people. However, when entertainment is paired with a meaningful message, it becomes even more valuable. This is why I admire those who created Gandhi Tatha Chettu. I hope it becomes a blockbuster, grossing Rs 100 Cr! The trailer for Gandhi Tatha Chettu evokes a strong emotional response and embodies the essence of nature. This film should succeed for Sindhu and Paddu akka, rather than for me."

Tabitha Sukumar initially lacked confidence in her daughter's acting abilities. "It was the director who believed in Sukriti's talent. I would like to extend my gratitude to Mythri Movie Makers and my husband for facilitating the film's release to the audience. Given the positive reception it received on the festival circuit, I had hoped for a theatrical release, and now that wish is coming true. I encourage the audience to support Gandhi Tatha Chettu." The film has already been showcased at numerous international film festivals, garnering several awards. Sukriti Veni was honoured with the Best Child Artist award for her performance.
