Subhasree Ganguly took a step forward to create awareness about menstruation among schoolchildren. She shared a reel video about menstruation. The footage shows school students being taught awareness about menstruation. The students consist of both boys and girls.
The video shows the students being explained about the things to be used during periods. The uses of tampons and menstrual pads are being explained. This is a cornerstone step regarding consciousness about menstruation.
The video was shared by an account called Pyari Period. The caption talked about Kishan and Sujal, two students of class seven, who demonstrated to their schoolmates how to use a menstrual cup. They explained the difference between a menstrual cup and a disposable pad. They stressed the fact that a packaged pad contains plastic, while a reusable cup or a cloth pad is good for the environment.
The caption also said that in this session, sanitary pads, menstrual cups, tampons, reusable cloth pads, underwear pads, and all other commodities available in the market were introduced to the students. Kishan and Sujal explained what materials were used to make each commodity. They volunteered to explain their right uses.
In present times, the importance of growing consciousness about menstruation among kids is stressed. It frequently happens that without proper knowledge regarding the issue, unwanted situations happen in front of school friends. Sometimes boys bully girls regarding this. Proper education is needed to stop this. Subhasree also believes in that which is apparent from her Instagram Story.
Subhasree is the mother of two kids. Her first child Yuvaan was born in 2020. In 2023, she gave birth to Yaalini. Subhasree proudly celebrates her motherhood on her Instagram bio, too.
