Subhash Ghai, the famous director behind Hindi classics like Ram Lakhan, Taal, and Saudagar, has been hospitalized at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. According to a report from The Indian Express, the 79-year-old was taken to the hospital on Wednesday after feeling weak, having trouble breathing, and experiencing dizziness.

The report mentioned that the director is being closely monitored at the hospital. He’s receiving treatment from a team of specialists, including cardiologist Dr. Nitin Gokhale, neurologist Dr. Vijay Chaudhary, and pulmonologist Dr. Jalil Parkar. According to a source, the director is reportedly showing signs of improvement, which means he might be moved from the ICU to a regular ward soon.
The filmmaker’s spokesperson also stated that he’s doing perfectly fine and was just admitted for a routine check-up.
