Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a prominent figure in Telugu cinema, but she has recently shifted her focus towards pan-India projects. Although she has not yet committed to a new Telugu film, several months ago, the Eega actress established her own production company, Tralala Moving Pictures, with the intention of nurturing and promoting new talent within the industry.

 The inaugural project produced under her banner is named Subham, which falls within the horror comedy genre. Directed by Praveen Kandregula, known for his work on Cinema Bandi, the film's teaser has garnered widespread acclaim. Recently, producer Samantha announced that Subham is set to be released globally on May 9, 2025.

Written  Created by Vasanth Mariganti, this film is a family drama infused with elements of horror and comedy. Raj Nidumoru, known for his work with Raj and DK, serves as the creative producer, managing the production processes. Following her prominent roles in major films such as Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Attarintiki Daaredi, Samantha has transitioned her focus towards production. She will also be involved in promoting Subham, aiming to engage the audience more profoundly.

Harshith Reddy, Gavireddy Srinivas, Charan Peri, Shriya Kontham, Shravani Lakshmi, and Shalini Kondepudi are prominent figures in this film, which features music composed by Clinton. The cinematography is handled by Mridul Sujit Sen, bringing to life a narrative set in a small town that is expected to deliver a strong comedic experience.

The teaser presents a newlywed couple on their wedding night. As the husband attempts to charm his wife, she becomes engrossed in a television program, leading to an unexpected possession that unveils a startling aspect of her personality. This intriguing setup paves the way for the teaser to explore the various challenges the husband encounters due to his wife's unusual conduct.

Praveen Kandregula is recognized for his understated comedic style, which is evident in Cinema Bandi. With Subham, he appears to elevate his craft, featuring emerging actors in significant roles. The actress from Theri is also planning to expand her involvement in OTT content in the near future.
