Now that Stree 2 is out in theatres, the film has made a lot of revelations and hinted at what is the future of this horror-comedy universe. Stree 2 introduced not just Akshay Kumar but also Ayushmann Khurrana to the universe. There is a major hidden clue when it comes to their characters, and it very much paves the way for Stree 3, apart from other movies, which will release before we get the third installment of Stree. Here's what Stree 2 revealed and what we can expect in Stree 3...
How Akshay Kumar's entry is important in Stree 2
Akshay Kumar entered Stree 2 at an important point. The story tried to unfurl what the Sarkate Ka Aatank was. Just as the leads reached closer to the truth, Akshay Kumar appeared. This could be a big hint that he is indeed the sarkata, and that will be explored in Stree 3. However, one cannot be certain of it since Stree was about finding the ghost, and we're still not certain if it was Flora Saini's chudail or Shraddha Kapoor indeed.
What about Ayushmann Khurrana?
Ayushmann Khurrana is working with Munjya director Aditya Sarpotdar in the horror-comedy film Vampires of Vijaynagar. Of course, this means that the universe will have a chudail, Stree, sarkata, Bhediya, Munjya, and a vampire. It is indeed going to be a multiverse of madness, most probably in Stree 3. But before that, Vampires of Vijaynagar is expected to be released (on February 13, 2025), for the film will give us more insight into what is to come. Bhediya 2 is also in the works and is expected to release before Stree 3. It is also to be noted that there is a six-year gap between Stree and Stree 2. Thus, we might have to wait for at least half a decade more for Stree 3.
Stree 2 on its way to becoming a blockbuster
Stree 2 has managed to mint close to Rs. 150 crores within three days of its release. The movie has an added benefit of Sunday and Monday (Raksha Bandhan). Thus, it is expected to mint at least Rs. 200-250 crores in the next two days.
