Six years after Stree, Amar Kaushik returned with a second installment of his horror-comedy movie. Stree 2 marked the return of Aparshakti Khurana as Bittu along with his co-stars Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. The second part of Stree was packed with Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, and Tamannaah Bhatia's surprising cameos. Speaking of which, in an exclusive conversation with OTTplay, Aparshakti heaped praise on his Stree 2 co-star Akshay.

Aparshakti Khurana lauds Akshay Kumar

In an interview with us, Aparshakti Khurana opened up about the unprecedented success of Stree 2 and the film's surprising cameos. While talking about Akshay Kumar's cameo, Khurana told OTTplay, "I am a big Akshay Kumar fan! Last year I was in the US with Akshay paaji for about 15 to 20 days. We did a tour called The Entertainers Tour. I think the kind of energy and sense of humour he has, it's very difficult to find someone who has so much energy."

The actor further called his Stree 2 co-star Akshay 'fit' and revealed, "He used to come running to the set." Apart from Akshay, the actor lauded Tamannaah Bhatia for her song Aaj Ki Raat in Stree 2. Khurana fell short of words to praise the actress and stated, "Read the comment section for Tamannaah's song (laughs)."

Aparshakti Khurana on Stree 3

In the same chat, Aparshakti shared an update about Stree 3. The actor said it will take time for the third installment of Amar Kaushik's film to be made. "There is Bhediya 2 and there is another Vampire film that they are making. Stree 3 will take time. Maybe at least 2 years," said Khurana. 

What's next for Aparshakti?

On the work front, Aparshakti is awaiting the release of his new film, Berlin. The actor plays the role of a sign-language expert in the Atul Sabharwal directorial. He will be seen sharing screen space with Rahul Bose and Ishwak Singh in the film. Berlin is set for an OTT release on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium on September 13, 2024.
