Sanjay Leela Bhansali celebrated his birthday on the evening of February 24 in Mumbai. The event was attended by his close friends as well as the cast of his film Love & War, including Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal.

Alia Bhatt made a striking appearance in a cream-colored top paired with matching trousers, complemented by heels and a stylish bag. Ranbir Kapoor was seen in a blue shirt and white trousers. In contrast, Vicky Kaushal, known for his role in Chhaava, chose a black long-sleeved T-shirt along with matching pants. The birthday celebrant, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, opted for a traditional black kurta paired with white pyjamas for the occasion.

About Love & War

Vicky Kaushal's collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Love & War marks their first partnership. In contrast, Ranbir Kapoor made his debut with Bhansali in the film Saawariya, while Alia Bhatt starred in Gangubai Kathiawadi, a Bhansali production that earned her a National Award.

The film was officially announced in January 2024, with the production team stating, "We Bring You Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Epic Saga Love & War. See You At The Movies."

In a previous discussion with The Hollywood Reporter India, Bhansali described Love & War as a truly distinctive project. He emphasized that it is modern and lacks traditional elements such as pillars, costumes, and horses. The music is also described as unique, reflecting the filmmaker's enjoyment in the creative process.

Love & War is scheduled for release in theaters on March 20, 2026.
