BTS member Kim Seok-jin, widely recognized as Jin, is poised to make his return to the music industry this May, as reported by the Korean news outlet Newsen on Monday. The 32-year-old artist will re-enter the scene just a month prior to the discharge of his fellow members RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook from military service in June.

Jin is set to release his second solo album titled Echo in May.

Following the announcement, a representative from BIGHIT MUSIC stated, “Jin is currently working on a new album with the intention of launching it in May. We will provide further details about the comeback at a later time,” according to Soompi.

The forthcoming album, Echo, signifies Jin's return to music six months after the debut of his first solo project, Happy, which was released last November. BIGHIT MUSIC also announced that pre-orders will commence on Tuesday, as reported by the outlet.

“Echo expresses universal life experiences and emotions through Jin’s distinctive and captivating viewpoint. The album comprises seven tracks that highlight his versatile vocal abilities alongside a dynamic band sound,” the statement from the record label indicates.

“Through Echo, we aspire for Jin’s sincere desire to connect more frequently with his fans to resonate with you,” it continues. While many details about the album remain undisclosed, the record label mentioned that they will unveil new information daily from April 15 to April 19 at 6 am KST.

The first major announcement is set for April 15 at 6 am KST, which corresponds to 5 pm on Monday, April 14. The record label noted that this information will be shared “through a video at the COEX K-POP SQUARE in Seoul!” as reported by the outlet.
