Salman Khan has starred in some of his greatest films directed by Sooraj Barjatya. Their standout movies include Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, and Hum Saath-Saath Hain. In a chat with Tried and Refused Productions on YouTube, the director shared his thoughts on Salman as an actor and what sets him apart as a massive star.
Sooraj Barjatya's comments
Sooraj mentioned in the chat, "I've put in over 600 days of work. What stands out the most about Salman bhai as an actor is his authenticity. He doesn’t stress about messing up, and that’s a huge advantage for him. He doesn’t care about looking silly, and that really pays off. Otherwise, you’re always caught up in what others might think… but he just goes for it. I believe that’s his greatest strength as an actor."
‘He puts in a ton of effort into his roles’
He added, "That's why if you notice someone with such a huge mass appeal, it really comes down to trusting your instincts. He has this amazing ability to connect with everyday people. If you pay attention, you'll see how hard he puts into his roles. Sometimes when I’m narrating a scene to him, he just sits there, observing everything. He listens to the scene, then comes on set and watches from a distance to see how it all unfolds. After that, he joins in and makes everyone feel at ease."
Fans can look forward to seeing Salman in Sikandar, directed by AR Murugados. The film also features Rashmika Mandanna. The teaser dropped in December, and a new poster shows Salman holding a spear, with his face not visible. The movie is set to hit theaters on Eid 2025.
