When Sonu Sood touched down in Kolkata to promote his new film ‘Fateh’, it felt more like a homecoming than just another celebrity appearance. Known as a “national hero” for his relentless humanitarian efforts, Sonu’s arrival in the City of Joy sparked a wave of excitement and warmth.

As soon as he got off the plane, you could feel the buzz in the air. Fans were everywhere, rocking Fateh T-shirts and showing their enthusiasm for Sonu’s action-packed flick. But this visit was about more than just the movie; it was about Sonu engaging with the community, just like he always does—with genuine warmth and that trademark smile.

Kolkata means a lot to Sonu, not just for its vibrant spirit and charm, but also because of personal connections. His wife has deep roots in the city, and the memories they’ve created here make this trip even more special.

He really embraced the role of a national hero, going beyond the usual photo ops and interviews. At the famous Howrah Bridge, he jumped out of his car, and fans rushed over to catch a glimpse of him. Climbing onto a classic kaali peeli taxi, Sonu waved, smiled, and took selfies with everyone, turning a regular promo event into a fun celebration.

Kolkata's streets got a taste of Sonu’s relatable vibe when he hopped onto a haath gadi (hand-pulled rickshaw). In a sweet moment, he let the rickshaw puller take a break while he took over, which got the crowd cheering. At the iconic Indian Coffee House on College Street, a spot known for its gathering of thinkers and artists, Sonu brought a fresh energy. He tried out the classic dishes, posed with the chefs, and enjoyed coffee with fans who were thrilled to meet him.

In the upcoming movie Fateh, Sonu takes on the role of a former special ops officer with some serious skills, diving into a cybercrime plot that puts innocent lives at risk after a woman goes missing. He’s joined by an incredible cast featuring Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah, all adding their unique flair to the film.

The movie is produced by Sonali Sood from Shakti Sagar Productions and Umesh KR Bansal from Zee Studios, with Ajay Dhama as a co-producer. Fateh promises to be an intense story of bravery, resilience, and the battle against cybercrime, hitting theaters on January 10, 2025.
