Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are reported to get married in a few days. They might end up being husband and wife before the end of this month. We hear that their wedding date is out and it is June 23. Before this, Zaheer had almost confirmed the relationship. Interestingly enough, this is not the first time that the couple did that. Having met through Salman Khan (both made debut with Salman, Sonakshi with Dabangg and Zaheer with The Notebook), they have been open about their equation, in their own way.

The photo which looks like a wedding confirmation

It was on Sonakshi’s birthday that Zaheer Iqbal shared intimate photos with her. He gave her tight hugs (as she tried to laugh and push him away) and shared the photos with a red heart and wink emoji, writing “Happy birthday Sonzzz.” Not just that, he confessed I Love You in the comments section. The post was on June 2 (but in 2023), the same month as their wedding is being reported by IndiaToday. The report mentions that the wedding invites are out and is designed like a magazine cover, where it is written, “The rumours are true.” The whole cast of Heeramandi – Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chaddha, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Sharmin Segal – are expected to attend the wedding. Sanjay Leela Bhansali might also be a part of it.

When Sonakshi called Zaheer her ‘personal psycho’

In response to that, Sonakshi ended up calling Zaheer her ‘personal psycho.’ This goes on to state out loud how close the two are, for her to call him a psycho and them still being close with each other.

Sonakshi hinted she wants a wedding

During her appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, Sonakshi hinted that she wants to get married too. Of course, she did not talk about her impending wedding with Zaheer Iqbal, or even remotely mention anything about him.

A movie together

Sonakshi and Zaheer finally worked in a movie together. They were a part of Satram Ramani’s Double XL, where the two interestingly played lovers. Zaheer’s Zoravar kept on flirting with Sonakshi’s Saira and eventually, they fell head-over-heels. The film’s story was about plus size women and their challenges. Zoravar looked beyond it all, which won Saira over. The movie also starred Huma Qureshi. Whether she will be invited to Sonakshi-Zaheer’s reported wedding is still a mystery.

Their public appearances

Sonakshi and Zaheer have often been spotted together and never shied away from it. While they have not confirmed that they are dating, the two did not deny it either. They were seen at Sonakshi’s Heeramandi co-actor Sharmin Segal’s wedding reception together, among many events including Eid bash at Salman’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma’s house. For those who follow the industry closely, they know that this is the celebrity way to ‘almost confirm’ you are in a relationship.
