Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married last Sunday on June 23, seven years after dating each other. The two opted for a civil marriage, which was an intimate one with close friends and family in presence. Days after their wedding, the couple was spotted outside a hospital. Overenthusiastic netizens are now of the belief that she is already pregnant.

Is Sonakshi pregnant?

Various reports suggest that the newly-married couple was at the hospital for a regular check-up. There is still no confirmation on whether Sonakshi and Zaheer were at the hospital because they are expecting parents.

Where did the rumours start?

Just like they thought with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, the netizens believe that Sonakshi and Zaheer got married because she is an expecting mother. When Sonakshi did end up marrying Zaheer, she was also tagged as a gold-digger, which led to her disabling the comments on Instagram. It is however to be noted that Sonakshi and Zaheer were together for seven years before becoming husband and wife, in the presence of their parents.

Engaged two years back?

Although Sonakshi and Zaheer got officially married on June 23, it appears that they were secretly engaged two years back. Sonakshi had posted a photo on May 8, 2022 wearing a diamond ring. At the time, people assumed it was a promotional photo but the same is now going viral for now the same people are assuming that Sonakshi was secretly engaged to Zaheer.

The wedding

Days before their wedding, the news broke that Sonakshi and Zaheer sent out audio notes stating that the rumours of them dating are true, and that those who receive the voice notes are invited to their civil marriage. While the wedding was close-knit, Sonakshi and Zaheer’s industry friends, including their mentor Salman Khan, were a part of their wedding reception held a day later, on June 24.
