Actor Sohum Shah has left audiences perplexed and intrigued with the release of the trailer for his forthcoming film, Crazxy. The Tumbbad star appears bewildered in the trailer, prompting viewers to question the film's true narrative. As a result of this unexpected twist, many have dubbed him 'Bollywood's Christopher Nolan,' with some even drawing parallels between Crazxy and acclaimed films such as Interstellar and Inception. Below are the trailer and the public's responses to it.

Crazxy trailer

In the trailer for Crazxy, Sohum Shah portrays a character who discovers that his daughter has been abducted. This revelation sets off a series of events that unfold once he enters his vehicle. Many viewers speculate that the character experiences time travel, as he receives updates from those around him indicating that his daughter is safe, only for her to be kidnapped again by the conclusion of the narrative. Additionally, the character suffers from broken bones yet perseveres through the ordeal. The climactic line at the end poses the question, "Will I get a loan of 5 crores?" This line poignantly reflects a father's desperate attempt to rescue his daughter. The trailer also features a cameo by the IT clown.

The reactions

All confused, the comments on the trailer ranged from - What just happened? to 'Bollywood ka Christopher Nolan.' Most, in fact, are convinced that if the film works, it could end up being at par with Hollywood.

Is there a Tumbbad connection in Crazxy trailer?

No, there is no Tumbbad connection in Crazxy trailer thus far. So, in case you thought that this world is an extension of Tumbbad, it might be time to get rid of that thought. IT, yes, but no Hastar thus far. Unless, of course, the character is stuck in the world after being cursed by the Hastar. But the original story is that the Hastar devours the man and the man turns a Hastar himself (which Sohum's character Vinayak Rao did turn into). The re-release of the film was a rage but even then, Harshvardhan Rane-Mawra Hocane's Sanam Teri Kasam is currently beating all re-release records, so maybe the viewers did move on from Tumbbad. The film is likely to be a trilogy but there's no update on that either. Crazxy, on the other hand, will be out in cinemas on February 28.
