Soha Ali Khan is busy promoting her upcoming movie, Chhorii 2. In a recent chat with Just Too Filmy, she opened up about her family life growing up, sharing that her mother, Sharmila Tagore, was the primary provider for their household.
Soha discusses her father's influence on her
Soha mentioned that her father was a significant role model for her, saying, "We’re often shaped by those around us, and my dad was a big influence. By the time I came along, he had already retired from cricket, but he played purely for the love of the game. Believe it or not, there was no money in cricket during the 1960s when he played—no IPL, no sponsorships, nothing at all."
She also talked about how her mother encouraged her to pursue her passions, stating, “My mom was the one who supported our family, so I always heard her say, ‘Do what makes you happy.’ I watched my mother, an actress her whole life, follow her heart. She got married at 24, which was quite unusual for women back then, knowing that marriage could impact her career. A couple of years later, she had a child but continued to work, achieving some of her greatest successes afterward.”
