Allu Arjun's spouse, Sneha Reddy, greeted the actor with an embrace upon his return home after spending a night in Chanchalguda jail. His incarceration was linked to an incident involving the death of a fan during the screening of his film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, the previous week.

Sneha embraces Arjun

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday morning, Sneha was observed waiting outside for Arjun, accompanied by their children. As Arjun approached, Sneha Reddy enveloped him in a heartfelt hug, visibly emotional upon reuniting with her husband.

Prior to his police custody on Friday, Arjun was seen affectionately kissing a distressed Sneha on the cheek and gently holding her face. She remained by his side as he concluded his coffee.

What Arjun told media in first statement after release

Arjun addressed the media for the first time following his release from incarceration on Saturday. Speaking to reporters outside the facility, he stated, "I am a law-abiding citizen and will fully cooperate. I wish to reiterate my condolences to the family. This was a regrettable incident."

What happened to Arjun

Arjun was released from prison on Saturday morning after spending Friday night incarcerated. Although the Telangana High Court had granted him bail, the authorities did not receive the official copy of the bail order until late Friday evening. Ashok Reddy, Arjun's attorney, confirmed to reporters outside Chanchalguda prison that he had been released. Following his release, the actor was taken home, where he was seen embracing his family.

The attorney asserted that the prison officials failed to release Arjun even after receiving the High Court's order. "It is imperative to question the government and the department regarding their failure to release the accused. The High Court's directive is unequivocal: upon receipt of the order, the prison authorities are obligated to release him. Despite this clear instruction, they have not complied, and they must provide an explanation. This constitutes illegal detention, and we will pursue legal action," Ashok stated.

What led to Arjun's arrest

According to him, Arjun was kept in the jail as a "special category prisoner". The Pushpa actor was arrested from his residence on Friday morning unfolding a day-long dramatic turn of events. After the arrest, he was produced in a local court which remanded him to 14 days' judicial custody. However, his lawyers moved the HC and secured interim bail. Arjun was lodged in Chanchalguda prison shortly before the HC spelt its order.

A 35-year-old woman died and her eight-year-old son was hospitalised on December 4 during a stampede-like situation at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad when thousands of fans jostled to have a glimpse of the actor at the premiere of the blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule. Following the incident, the city police registered a case against Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under different sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Chikkadpally police station based on the complaint lodged by the deceased woman's family.
